Christina, Cee Lo, Adam and Blake are back as the second season of The Voice kicks of tonight following the Super Bowl.
Rumor has it that this season we will be treated to an extended blind audition process and a closer look into the mentoring process.
And according to mentor Christina Aguilera, the we might see the panel toughen up a bit this season.
“Last year we were all finding our own comfort zone and were tired of seeing the attack, we wanted to give genuine opinion without tearing people down,” Aguilera said. “This year we’re actually diving more into critiquing.”
But fellow mentor Blake Shelton says not to expect the kind of harshness other reality show judges, but more constructive criticism.
“You don’t have to tell somebody they suck when you know exactly what was wrong with the performance,” Shelton said. “You pinpoint whatever was wrong.”
The Voice 2012 switches to its normal time Monday at 8 pm with Blind Auditions Part 2. So that’s two nights of The Voice for you.
