Bobby Brown arrested

UPDATE (7:04 PM): Brown has been released on bail after blowing at least .08 on his sobriety test, according to TMZ.
PREVIOUSLY: Bobby Brown was arrested in Los Angeles Monday afternoon on suspicion of drunk driving, TMZ reports.
Brown was initially pulled over by the California Highway Patrol at 12:20 PST for talking on his cell phone, before the situation escalated to a potential DUI.
According to Gossip Cop, Brown was given a sobriety test, blowing a 0.12. The 43-year-old singer was then taken directly to Van Nuys jail. If he's convicted, this will be the second DUI for Brown -- his first was in Georgia in 1996.
Brown's arrest comes on the heels of a traumatic month for the Brown-Houston family. Following Whitney Houston's Feb. 11 death, the legendary singer's ex-husband received a media lashing for not immediately taking a flight to be by daughter Bobbi Kristina's side. Brown once again faced negative headlines afterleaving the funeral of his ex-wife and the mother of his daughter early, due to a seating disagreement.
Bobbi Kristina -- who serves as the sole heir to Houston's estate -- has also been feeling the media's scrutiny, as rumors of a relationship with her unofficially adopted brother, Nick Gordon, recently surfaced.

10 year old brother saves his little 6 year old sister

A Louisville boy and his sister are recovering from burns after he ran back into their flaming home to save her.
WAVE-TV reported 6-year-old Trinity Burks was standing near a lamp when she sprayed a liquid protectant on her shoes. Some sprayed on the lamp and it started a fire Sunday night.
Trinity's 10-year-old brother Antoine Burks and their mother Stacey Holloway ran out of the flaming home, but the boy noticed his sister wasn't with them.
Antoine ran back inside and led Trinity out. Both had first- and second-degree burns on their arms and legs. Trinity said a burn on her nose hurt the most.
Antoine said he had to go back and get Trinity because he's her big brother and has to protect her.

My Strange Addiction: She drinks her own pee??? seriously??

 Urine drinker

THE LEARNING CHANNEL

One woman thinks drinking her own urine can help cure her cancer.

TAKE OUR POLL

Age-old cure?

Do you think drinking urine could help cure diseases?
Yes, mainstream doctors just don't want to believe it
No way, that's disgusting
I'm not sure
And you thought “Fear Factor” was bad.
A woman who appeared on TLC'S “My Strange Addiction” is turning stomachs with her strange addiction — drinking her own urine in what she believes is a foolproof way to battle her cancer.
The 53-year-old, identified as Carrie, says in a preview to the show that for the past four years, she has also washed her eyes with it, poured it in her nose using a neti pot and brushes her teeth in urine.
"It tastes like water to me," she told her friend.
While the show has received attention each week highlighting strange and stomach-turning addictions, Carrie's pee problem seems to have made some viewers question the show and its subjects.
"I suppose one could argue that eating your dead husband's ashes is grosser than drinking your own urine," one Gawker writer wrote, referencing an earlier episode of the show, "but there is something uniquely horrifying about watching this lady pour "aged" urine through her nasal cavity with a neti pot, then tilt her head back so the snot-tinged piss will pool in the back of her throat."
Carrie's not the first person to come up with this strange supposed cure — it's been a health fad for centuries with a loyal following.
British newspaper The Independent reported in 2006 that Egyptian medical texts, as well as Chinese and Indian documents mention drinking urine as cures. Advocates of the current drinking-urine movement reportedly say it can boost energy levels, cure diseases and improve sexual function.
Most doctors doubt the practice's health benefits, warning it can cause dehydration and can damage your body.
"There are no health benefits to drinking your own urine, and in fact I think it could be quite detrimental,” Helen Andrews, of the British Dietetic Association, told the Independent. “Each time you put it back it will come out again even more concentrated and that is not good for health as it could damage the gut. If you are stranded, your body will try to conserve as much water as it can. Drinking your urine would be like drinking seawater."
Carrie's not the only on this week's episode with issues about what goes into her digestive system.
Another woman on the episode declared her addiction to eating dirt.
"It just tastes like potato chips," she said.

Judge refuses to delay Casey Anthony Civil Trial

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - A Florida judge has refused to delay Casey Anthony's upcoming civil trial from a defamation lawsuit.
Circuit Judge Lisa Munyon on Tuesday denied requests from Anthony's attorney to delay the trial, set to start April 10.
Anthony was acquitted last year of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. After Caylee disappeared in the summer of 2008, Anthony told investigators that a babysitter named Zenaida Gonzalez had kidnapped the toddler. A woman with the same name sued Anthony, claiming her reputation had been ruined.
During her murder trial, Anthony's attorney told jurors that the babysitter story was fabricated.
A motion on whether the lawsuit should be thrown out will be heard later this month.
Anthony currently is serving a year of probation at an undisclosed location in Florida for an unrelated charge.
